The City Clerk's Office public relations staff provide publication and public relations services for the Common Council and various city departments.

Publications designed and produced by this section include aldermanic newsletters, informational brochures, the "Call for Action" governmental phone directory, the Milwaukee Report (an overall annual report of city departments and services), and a City Clerk's Office departmental newsletter. The section also provides photographic services for aldermanic newsletters, and to record/document Common Council ceremonies and special events. Public relations staffers attend all Common Council meetings to assist the City Clerk and the Council in the dissemination of documents, errands, and other duties as needed. The public relations manager serves as sergeant-at-arms during all Common Council meetings.
